When was the work done?
Darren saw the proposed site one week and started work the next. His estimate of how long it would take was accurate to the day. The project was carried out in November and early December 2012. What was involved?
A new patio, extension and alteration of existing patio, addition of raised beds the walls of which act as seats and planting those beds.
How did you choose Darren Drummond Landscape Design and Construction?
We had the proposed work viewed by a number of landscape designers and Darren came up with the ideas that we liked best. He also took us to see work he had recently completed.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Darren Drummond?
We had rough ideas and Darren came up with some more. After a few days of exchanging ideas Darren produced a drawing that we approved.
Did Darren introduce new ideas?
We were able to discuss and modify, any plans as the project took shape. Darren had his own ideas and produced an improved overall result.
How did the project run?
Quite smartly. Darren and his team were on site at 8.30 A.M. each morning and worked constantly throughout the day. They were very helpful and made time to listen to and discuss our queries. I found Darren to be decisive and prompt. His workmanship was first class and the finished product was excellent. He finished on the day he estimated beforehand.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Darren Drummond Landscape Design and Construction?
The biggest benefit was that I could sit back, relax and not worry about a thing, I knew the job would be well done. I was also comfortable leaving the house with Darren there and knowing everything was secure.
What's your favourite part now?
My favourite part is a small wall around the patio that you can sit on, it has brick lights built into it that I really like.
Would you recommend Darren Drummond Landscape Design and Construction to others?
Without hesitation, yes. Darren was the right person for my job and I can certainly recommend him to others.
Any tips for other people?
Before you start any type of a garden project, talk to several people who know what they're doing like Darren. It's important to choose someone that you can talk to and deal with.
